Enterprise investigation found that the number of garment enterprises exported by air in this area increased significantly, and many enterprises paid a lot of costs for this reason, and the pressure of operation was great.

According to statistics, in the first 7 months of this year, Fuzhou's production enterprises exported by air pportation.

The product has 554 batches, the value is $7 million 653 thousand, and the total weight is 884 tons, up 26.8%, 125%, 100%, respectively.

The weight of batches and cargo is not doubled, indicating that many batches of goods are of great weight.

The textile and apparel products exported by these enterprises are mainly pported to the European Union and Japan by air, and the cost of pportation is about 2.7 to 4.5 US dollars per kilogram.

This year, the air cargo weight increased by 443 tons over the same period last year, and the company has more than $1 million 200 thousand to $2 million in air freight costs since last year.

Many enterprises reflect that most of the export lots do not profit or even lose money.

Textile and clothing products have the characteristics of large volume and heavy weight, but why?

Enterprises still choose higher cost air pportation way?

According to the inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Fuzhou, there are several reasons for this: first, since the beginning of this year, the price of cotton and cotton yarn has been rising, and supply exceeds demand. Many of the raw material production enterprises require cash to purchase, and the export of textile and garment processing enterprises has less liquidity, which makes the production time for the garment processing enterprises to buy raw materials, and the production time has become very short. Two, since the beginning of this year, almost all textile and garment enterprises are facing difficulties in employment. The enterprises have received many orders, but are suffering from shortage of manpower, resulting in short supply time. In order to guarantee delivery on time, they have to choose the mode of air pportation; three, clothing is seasonal goods, and the production time allowed by foreign customers is relatively short.

For this reason, the inspection and quarantine department suggests that the relevant garment manufacturers should win the quality, scientifically arrange production, reduce unnecessary waste of time and shorten the production time.

At the same time, when signing foreign trade contracts with customers, we should pay attention to avoiding risks, not accepting products with design defects, and avoiding claims for return.

In addition, we should implement diversification strategy and strive to develop and nurture other emerging markets to better withstand changes and risks in the market.
