Losangeles, November, 27 (Xinhua) a survey in Sweden shows that people's risk of heart disease will increase greatly in a long period of stress and depression.

The researchers from Stockholm University and Karolinska Institute in the United States reported in the online edition of the American Journal of occupational and environmental medicine that they conducted a long-term follow-up survey of 3100 men aged 19 to 70 years.

These people have a relaxed working environment, strong leadership skills, know how to use and care for their subordinates, while others are strict with their superiors, often making their subordinates work in a tense and oppressive environment.

During the period from 1992 to 2003, the researchers conducted regular cardiac tests on some of the respondents and compared the records of the respondents.

It was found that those who had a relaxed and harmonious working environment had a lower probability of heart disease, while those who were in a stressful environment for a long time had a higher risk of heart disease, and the longer they were in the environment, the higher the risk.
