BritainNo AgreementNo EUCostumes

According to the Spanish Expansi n daily, the British government announced tariffs on clothing, automobiles, ceramics, ham, bananas and other products after it was released from Europe in March 13, 2019. Spain's Zara, Seat, Porcelanosa, Osborne and other manufacturers will be negatively affected. It is estimated that Spain will not pay more than 500 million euros a year to British exports.

In order to avoid the increase of the cost of enterprises and consumers, the British government has decided to exempt 87% of the imported goods from customs duties, but only about 13% of the agricultural, animal husbandry and automobile related products are subject to tariff protection measures.

The tariff measure is expected to be implemented for 1 years, and the necessity of the tax measure will be reassessed at that time.

Spain exports about 19 billion euros to the UK every year, of which Spain's auto brand Seat (Volkswagen) sells more than 60 thousand vehicles a year, and in the future it will pay 10% tariffs, 12% of textile tariffs and 5% of ceramic tile tariffs.

Spain Inditex group, Mango, Desiqual and other textile enterprises, and Procelanosa ceramic factory will all be affected.

In the food sector, Spain's Ham will be subject to 10.2 Euro duty per 100 kilograms. Osborne and its brand 5J will be affected. Fruit and vegetables can still enjoy tariff free treatment. Except bananas, 100 euros per kilogram should be paid, and rice, sugar, cheese and beans are also subject to import duties.

Britain's original deadline for leaving Europe is March 29, 2019, but the British Parliament voted to postpone Europe in March 14, 2019.
