Since the United States has been the most important export market in Germany for four years in a row, it is still the most important export place for the "Made in Germany" of German products in 2019.

According to preliminary data from the German Federal Statistical Office, Germany's exports to the world's largest economy grew by 4.3% in the first half of 2019, amounting to 58 billion 300 million euros. France took the second place and increased 1.5% in the first half of this year, amounting to 55 billion euros. Third of China's exports increased by 4.1%, amounting to 47 billion 200 million euros.

A good economic boom may be the reason for Germany's booming export business to the US. The US economy is growing faster than any other important industrial country, but until 2015 France was in Germany's most important export market for more than 60 years.

In the first half of 2019, mainland China was Germany's most important source of imports, amounting to nearly 52 billion euros, up 4% from the previous year. Holland ranked the second time, amounting to 50 billion 700 million euros (4.6%). The United States has third, amounting to 34 billion 800 million euros (an increase of 9%).

In view of the strong growth in Germany's imports from the US in the first half of 2019, Germany's exports to the United States, which had been criticized by the president of the United States for many times, dropped by 2%, amounting to 23 billion 500 million euros.
