JiaojiangZhejiangTextile And Traditional Industries

The textile industry in Jiaojiang started in the 80s of the Xia Dynasty in the last century. After more than 30 years of development, there are more than 30 textile enterprises in Jiaojiang, which are distributed in Xia Chen, three Jia, Hongjia and other places, and the total output value in 2018 is around 1 billion yuan.

Textile enterprises in Jiaojiang mainly produce cloth cloth, waterproof cloth and other industrial cloth. Because of its low price and good quality, its products are exported to all parts of the country. After years of development, it has become one of the bases for the production and export of Chinese industrial cloth.

More than 30 years ago, in Jiaojiang Chen Chen, textile machine "clicking, clicking" sound, Jiaojiang's textile industry started here.

From scratch, from small to large, after more than 30 years of development, the influence of Jiaojiang's textile industry is increasing. According to Ruan Meng Kang, a textile industry association of Jiaojiang, there are more than 30 textile enterprises in Jiaojiang, which are distributed in the following places: Chen Chen, San Jia and Hongjia. The total output value in 2018 is around 1 billion yuan.

This year, the industry has maintained a steady growth trend. Data show that in 2019 1-6 months, only Chen Chen street 12 textile regulatory enterprises output value reached 380 million yuan, an increase of 19.58% over the same period last year.

Growing up from family workshops

Chen Chen is the source of the development of Jiaojiang's textile industry.

Huang Daoyou, President of Jiaojiang Textile Industry Association, said that in 1984, Huang Daoqiu, a water Tengtou villager, found that the material of thread type pearl cloth was very popular. He told his cousin Huang Daocong, who was engaged in the textile industry in Shaoxing.

With the support of Huang Daocong, Huang Daoqiu bought two textile machines from Shaoxing and started textile business, and achieved good results.

With the demonstration households, Xia Chen immediately seized the opportunity and began buying textile machines to start weaving products. At that time, the village of water warehouse, Qian Ruan, Yongjin, and Jie Nan showed a hot scene of "home looms and everyone weaving."

"In the 80s of last century, textile products were mainly used in clothing production, and in short supply, to get to the Luqiao market all of a sudden, do not worry about selling." Ruan Meng Kang said.

Ruan Guang Fa, head of Taizhou Jinniu Textile Co., Ltd. also started from the family workshop. "I started weaving from 1987, and the machine increased year by year from one to two." Ruan Guang Fa said that his own development was not smooth.

According to his introduction, after entering the 90s of last century, due to the backwardness of machinery and equipment and the lack of technical level and other reasons, the textile industry which was once very popular has gradually gone downhill. "Although the output value has increased over the previous year, the profit has dropped, most of the enterprises can only earn their living, and some family factories have also failed because of the deficit."

Under such circumstances, Jiaojiang's textile industry began to search for new markets. When they realized that the bags and bags for making school bags and travelling bags were popular in the market, they quickly changed the looms and woven cloth bags.

Because of the high quality and low price, the products sold in Jiaojiang are soon sold to all parts of the country. According to Ruan Guang Fa, at the very beginning, they made the family weaving family to work on their behalf, then they left the workshop and invested a lot of money to build factories. The number of looms also increased rapidly along with the good sales situation.

By the end of the 90s of last century, with the acceleration of the shuttling process of the global textile industry, Jiaojiang textile enterprises were once again in a predicament due to backward equipment performance, weak new product development capability and high production costs.

Only by updating the equipment can we get out of the low tide. Therefore, Jiaojiang textile enterprises have introduced the automatic shuttle loom. The production capacity of the enterprises has increased by more than 10 times, and the quality of the products has also been greatly improved.

"The original machine speed is only 180-200 revolutions per minute, and only about 200 meters of cloth can be produced in 1 days. The updated machine has 650 turns per minute, and the benefits are much better." Luo Yongqin, director of Zhejiang Friendship Textile Co., Ltd.

Industrial development is full of resistance.

Textile enterprises in Jiaojiang mainly produce cloth for industrial use, such as luggage and cloth, waterproofing cloth and so on. After years of development, they have become one of the bases for the production and export of Chinese industrial cloth.

Why can Jiaojiang's bags and tarpaulins keep steady growth for so many years? Ruan Meng Kang said that in recent years, textile enterprises in Shaoxing, Jiaxing and other places have gradually entered the high-end field, and there is little competition in the production of low-end products such as bags and waterproof fabrics, but the demand is growing.

High end products not only emphasize quality and design, but also work hard on brands, and pay attention to the promotion and dissemination of late market. The middle and low end products do not need too much extra input, production is also simple, as long as the quality is excellent, the price is reasonable, the pressure of sales is not great.

But the low level of industry corresponds to the extensive mode of production, that is, high energy consumption and high pollution. The environmental problems caused by the development of the textile industry are becoming increasingly prominent. The textile enterprises in Jiaojiang are also aware of the urgency of transformation and upgrading.

If, as before, what others do and what they follow, enterprises will not be enlarged and products will not be renewed, sooner or later, they will be eliminated by the market. In 2016 and 2018, Nguyen law's enterprises bought 50 sprinklers and eliminated old machines. "At the earliest time, 1 people managed 1 machines. Now 1 people can manage 20 machines, and they can see the operation of each machine on the mobile phone." Ruan Guang opened the mobile phone page to show reporters which machine was working and which machine was shut down.

At the same time, Jinniu textile also increased the input of environmental protection equipment to improve the recycling efficiency of waste water. Ruan Guang law said: "for a company that wishes to achieve sustainable development, such investment is necessary."

In terms of environmental protection, Zhejiang Sande textile and apparel Co., Ltd. is in the front. "We converted the former coal-fired boiler into natural gas, completed the transformation of low nitrogen, and constructed the sewage treatment station according to the high requirements of printing and dyeing enterprises, not only satisfied with the current environmental protection standards, but also could meet the environmental requirements in the next few years." Wang Tingting, assistant manager of Sande textile, told reporters.

In addition to environmental protection, the development of Jiaojiang's textile industry is also restricted by land.

"Enterprise development needs land, industrial upgrading requires land, but not so much." Ruan law has no choice but to say that last year, Jinniu textile bought a piece of land in the neighboring counties and cities.

Sande textile has also undergone several relocation. "In 2008, the enterprise moved from Hong family to Chen Chen. Last year, we moved from Chen to Hong Jia new factory area." Wang Tingting said that the layout of the new plant will be more reasonable and conducive to the future development of enterprises.

Transformation and upgrading is the direction of development

As a traditional industry, what is the future direction of Jiaojiang's textile industry?

"On the whole, the textile industry in Jiaojiang is small in scale, mostly retail, with serious varieties and low added value. This is the main feature." Ruan Binhui, general manager of Heng Rong Textile Co., Ltd., clearly realized the short board of Jiaojiang textile industry.

In 2011, Ruan Binhui, who had just graduated, began to take over the textile business in his home. He visited Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing.

"Like Shaoxing, Jiaxing and other textile enterprises gathering place, there are many advanced practices worth learning from and learning from." Ruan Binhui said that Keqiao and other places are basically large-scale textile enterprises, leading in product differentiation, design novelty, productivity concentration and so on, and insist on using cluster development to promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.

"Taizhou is not a key base for textile production fabrics, and the products with relatively low added value are all basic products and disposable products. The quality is not high." Ruan Binhui believes that with the upgrading of consumer demand, in addition to the need to update the factory equipment, products must also be upgraded. "We eliminated the one-time products in the past, producing high-quality and high-strength fabrics, and waterproof, anti UV, flame retardant and other functional fabrics. At the same time, we should increase quality control and improve the quality of cloth."

As a professional enterprise engaged in the development and production of woolen knitted products, Sande textile takes the "independent fabric design and process development capability" as its core competitiveness, and closely combines the fashion trend to make continuous product innovation, providing customers with customized overall development plan and landing products. Now, the company has become a leading supplier of brands at home and abroad, such as Mars Phil, Armani and HM. Wang Tingting introduced Sande textile from the very beginning, making clear positioning, giving full play to its own advantages and characteristics, taking the high-end line and doing fine work in the wool knitting industry.

"We invest a certain proportion of sales each year to ensure R & D funds, and set up R & D project teams, and cooperate with universities to develop research projects, and employ famous experts as R & D consultants." Wang Tingting said, "next, the company will dig out higher value-added products, expand the application of products, such as fabrics for sofa and other household products, more widely used, more complete functions. We also need to be a service oriented enterprise, providing customers with fabric while providing new trends. "

Industrial upgrading, green development, innovation driven, from manufacturing to creation, speed and quality development, this is perhaps the only way for Jiaojiang textile to move towards the future.

- Benchmarking figures

Huang Daoyou: market demand for textiles has steadily increased.

Huang Dao you

President of Jiaojiang Textile Industry Association

Director of Zhejiang Friendship Textile Co., Ltd.

Reporter: as a senior member of the textile industry, what do you think of the current situation of Jiaojiang's textile industry?

Huang Daoyou: Jiaojiang's textile industry has a low level of structure, and its textile product structure is single. Corresponding to the low level of industry is the extensive production mode. Therefore, the textile industry has to undergo the test of energy conservation and emission reduction.

In recent years, the government has strengthened the management of environmental protection and fire protection of textile enterprises. Many enterprises that fail to meet the management standards are required to rectify and rectification, and the overall industry standard has been promoted.

Reporter: what do you think is the biggest problem in the development of the industry?

Huang Daoyou: shortage of industrial land has become a major obstacle to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. When Chen Chen, some textile enterprises have no choice but to move their enterprises to other places.

At the same time, Taizhou lacks textile market, no textile park, and no agglomeration effect. More space is needed to develop.

Reporter: what is the future of Jiaojiang's textile industry?

Huang Daoyou: the downturn and slowdown of the macro-economy do not mean that the textile industry is going down. From the overall development, we can see that both the total processing volume and profit have been on the rise, and the textile industry has been in steady development. And market demand for bags, waterproof fabrics and other products has been growing and growing.

However, the development process also highlights some problems, poor supporting conditions, lack of industrial agglomeration effect and insufficient development potential. Under such circumstances, how to identify location and promote industrial upgrading is a consideration.

After processing, the workers carefully inspect the knitted fabric to ensure that the fabric is free from defects.

Reporter's notes

Old industries can also open new flowers.

The textile industry in Jiaojiang has gone through over 30 years from the outgoing sounds of ordinary families to more and more regulated enterprises.

Reporters visited a number of textile enterprises, there are still in the forefront of the older generation of entrepreneurs, but also take over the industry soon "new people". During the interview, the reporters found that they had different ideas on the development of the textile industry, but they had the same goal and hoped to promote the better development of the industry.

The pace of the older generation of entrepreneurs is steady, which is different from that of some enterprises. They believe that the textile industry is doing business and must be down-to-earth.

The new generation of entrepreneurs like to seek new changes and constantly try. "Continue to inherit the enterprise, we need continuous innovation, innovation and inheritance are complementary." They feel that if enterprises want to develop, they must invest. The old factory area can no longer adapt to the development of enterprises. Enterprises should not be complacent, nor can they be satisfied with the achievements they have achieved at the moment.

In the transformation of development mode and the transformation of new and old development kinetic energy, the textile industry is facing a profound reshaping. Traditional industries do not look like new industries, but through transformation and upgrading, the old industry can also open new flowers.
