Market Dynamics: When Textile Enterprises Extend Their Holiday Orders, When Will They Get Warmer?

Spinning Enterprise Order

Since the beginning of this week, Zheng cotton's contracts have been oscillating under the combined effect of ICE rebounding, European and American countries' "unsealing" and the wide rise of crude oil futures. However, since late April, the spot market of cotton in and out of Xinjiang has been deserted, and the price of spot basis and the rise in the price of one price have lagged behind.

From a recent survey of customers in Henan, Hebei and Shandong (mainly cotton mills or civilian cotton enterprises under 60 thousand spindles), although the recovery rate generally reached 80% in April, the rate of resumption was generally only 50-60%. At present, the downstream enterprises are in a "low and high" state. The raw materials such as cotton and polyester staple fiber are low in stock, and can only be maintained for 7-15 days, while the cotton and blended yarns are in high stock. Some small factories with small space and low storage capacity even rent other storehouses for temporary storage of finished products.

The production and marketing situation of small and medium sized weaving mills and printing and dyeing factories in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong is very stagnant. A dyeing factory in Shaoxing said that the workshop had been shut down in April 30th, and most of the workers had already been on holiday. The initial plan was to return to work in May 7th or May 10th.

Some small and medium-sized textile enterprises feedback the "May 1" holiday for 7-10 days, and some cotton mills temporarily take 10-15 days off (the minimum standard of living allowance is paid by local standards). Only a few cotton mills are not on holiday or only plan to take 1-2 days off. The main reasons for the small and medium sized textile enterprises resuming and stopping production are as follows: 1. In June and 5, there was a serious lack of direct or processing export orders; two, a large amount of liquid funds occupied by gauze and other stocks, resulting in difficulties in wages and other expenditures of the employees; three, after small and medium-sized textile enterprises judged the turning point of the European and American epidemic, some countries had ulterior motives to raise the epidemic from health to politics. The problem is that China's export oriented enterprises are facing worse trade and export environment. Therefore, it is difficult to estimate the extent to which the order of spinning and weaving clothing can get warmer and warmer in 5-7 months.
