China'S Textile Industry Accelerates The Recovery Of The Soviet Union And Seeks Development

Sun Ruizhe, President of China Textile Industry Federation, said at a press conference held recently at the third world cloth merchants conference that at present, China's daily export volume of masks is still between 900 million and 1 billion, and the positive recovery of China's textile industry will provide strong backing for China and even the world economy.

In the second half of the year, with the situation of domestic epidemic prevention and control tending to be stable and the market demand gradually restored, the operation of China's textile industry has improved and is in the stage of continuous recovery.

From the supply side, according to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to July this year, the industrial added value of textile industry above Designated Size in China decreased by 6.1% year-on-year, 0.6 percentage points lower than that in January June. It is worth noting that due to the rapid growth of demand for epidemic prevention materials at home and abroad, the industrial added value growth of industrial textiles industry has achieved positive growth since March, and the growth rate has been increasing continuously. According to statistics, from January to July, the industrial added value of the industrial textiles industry increased by 60.0%, 2.2 percentage points higher than that from January to June.

From the perspective of domestic demand, China's textile and clothing domestic demand market presents a mild recovery trend. According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to July, the retail sales of clothing, footwear, knitwear and textiles of units above the national quota reached 595.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17.5%, 2.1 percentage points lower than that of January June. Online consumption improved significantly. From January to July, the retail sales of online wear goods decreased by 0.9% year-on-year, 2.0 percentage points lower than that from January to June.

"Only by opening the anti epidemic mode of global cooperation, integrating into the general trend of economic globalization, and forming closer, firm and sustainable economic ties, can we promote the recovery and development of the industry as soon as possible, and better cope with the uncertainty of the future industrial chain and supply chain." Chen Dapeng, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation, said that under the impact of the epidemic, the textile industry can realize sustainable development by producing innovative products and accelerating the digitization of resources and markets. The gradual normalization of various offline exhibitions will help to further strengthen international cooperation.

Shen Zhijiang, Secretary of the Party committee of Keqiao District of Shaoxing City, said at the meeting that the third world cloth merchants conference will be held in Keqiao District, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province from October 26 to 29, 2020, along with the autumn Keqiao Textile Expo and Keqiao fashion week. The third cloth merchants' Congress will implement the "Online + offline" double venue mode. At present, it has widely contacted trade associations and well-known enterprises in more than 50 textile industry key countries, such as the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc.

"It is more necessary than ever before to create a good cooperation environment and stimulate the momentum of innovation and cooperation during the epidemic period." Shen Zhijiang said Keqiao hoped that through the current cloth merchants' conference, Keqiao would open up a bridge of cooperation, work together to build a new pattern of "double cycle" development and continuously broaden the open channel of "Silk Road Keqiao".

Experts believe that with the normalization of a series of online and offline exhibitions, the recovery pace of China's textile industry will be further accelerated.
