Accelerating The Construction Of Cross Border E-Commerce Pilot Zone In Wuxi, Jiangsu Province

In recent years, China (Wuxi) cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone has actively explored new business forms, new trade models and new cross-border ecology, making cross-border e-commerce an important force in stabilizing foreign trade.
The reporter learned that in 2021, the cross-border e-commerce import and export trade volume of the comprehensive test zone reached 3.16 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 23%. Among them, the B2B export volume was 2.87 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 38%. Both the volume and growth rate were in the forefront of the province.
Only by setting up a good public service platform can enterprises "go out" better. To this end, the comprehensive pilot zone has set up a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service center, which provides one-stop services for enterprises, such as policy and regulation consultation, supply chain platform construction, overseas brand marketing, etc., serving nearly 100 enterprises last year. At the same time, through eight platforms, including Wuxi cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service platform, international trademark intellectual property service platform and cross-border e-commerce talent cultivation platform, it has provided comprehensive services for nearly 300 enterprises.
In order to create the agglomeration effect, Wuxi has also accelerated the construction of cross-border e-commerce Industrial Park. At present, 13 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks have been built in the whole city, including 4 at provincial level and 9 at municipal level. It has attracted well-known cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Jingdong, Amazon, Dalong, Dunhuang and other overseas shopping platforms to settle in Wuxi.
For example, by the end of 2021, the Wuxi "belt and road" cross-border e-commerce Industrial Park has attracted 39 cross-border e-commerce and related industrial chain enterprises to settle in. Wuxi Park and Yancheng park have completed a total of 153 million US dollars of cross-border exports from countries along the "belt and road".
Overseas warehouse is an effective mode for cross-border e-commerce enterprises to "group out to sea". According to reports, at present, 23 enterprises in Wuxi have invested in 38 overseas warehouses, covering an area of nearly 400000 square meters. Wuxi jialida Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. carries out 1210 export overseas warehouse business of cross-border e-commerce. Last year, the export scale has reached 145 million US dollars, and the scale is in the forefront of the province.
In addition, Wuxi has also helped enterprises to set up offline experience stores for cross-border e-commerce bonded imported goods. Jiangsu RI Tao e-commerce Co., Ltd. has set up o2o offline experience shop for bonded imported goods, which can display and sell thousands of imported goods such as beauty and personal care, household daily chemicals, light luxury bags, maternal and infant products, etc. Jiangyin comprehensive insurance zone has introduced a new business model jointly built by Hualian Group and HUICAI, which focuses on the exhibition and trading of imported goods and o2o duty-free experience. It has also built a 2000 square meter live broadcasting room in the supervision warehouse of the comprehensive insurance zone. The total import and export volume of this year is expected to exceed 200 million US dollars.
